I am a descendant of the Everett family from Post. My father was Kenneth George Sr. His mother was Zula Bernice Everett. As a child visiting Post I remember going searching for horned toads on my Great Grandmothers property. Those critters fascinated me. We also visited Grandmothers sister, the late Gladys Wood. I loved listening to Grandmother and Aunt Gladys tell stories of when they were growing up in Post. If anyone from the Wood family reads this I am in need of a copy of the Everett family tree or any information on the family from their mother on back. Help is certainly appreciated. I like the site. Keep up the nice work and thank you. KG_jr

My grandfather worked at the Corner Grocery Store for several years and raised a family of 12 children. My father James M. Hays was the second child of 12 children born to this marriage. I have not been to Post in several years, but hope a reunion of the Hays family will take place. I was just wondering how the town was doing, so thought I would check in. I remember visiting my grandparents, by train, from California. Many fond memories of visiting my grandparents and my young uncles and cousins. Your website is very good.

I think the information is great. I was born in Post in October 02, 1946 and I am coming to Post this year on March 18th...it has been along time. My Mother was Bobbie JM James, Dad Was Joe Milton Day...I really am looking forward to see the town. I have heard I was born in a house somewhere in Post and I hope to locate it, if it is still standing. Barry Day 4707 S. 66th E. Ave. Tulsa, OK. 74145

Back in 2003 me and my friend did a road trip in the USA. On our way to Lubbock we stopped in Post and had the biggest Hamburger meal we have ever seen, at one of your resturants. We also found our way to your "local pub". I can wagely remember that we played "shuffelboard" with some nice guys in there. Post was a small place on our road trip, but it left a great memory!! We often!! talk about our stop in Post. Love ya`ll -Monica

Friendly town with friendly people. We stayed a week at Post View RV Park. The park was clean and the owner Glenda was a very friendly host. We stopped at Cowboy Cutouts and got a sign for our RV. Daryl is a real ARTIST! The sign is beautiful! We'll be back!

My new nephew-in-law is from Post, and I have become very interested in this area of Texas. Some day I would like to move from humid Indiana to someplace dry, so maybe west Texas is the place. Even if I don't move there, it looks like a nice place to visit. ,
